A new world requires new forms of protection. In the era of immediacy, where change is constant and unpredictable, the insurance industry faces a complex challenge: to adapt to new needs and offer customers protection solutions simpler to understand and use, personalized in covers and refunds, inclusive.
In a world that is changing, in an even faster way due to the health emergency we have just experienced, BNP Paribas Cardif intends to accelerate its path of innovation, undertaken with the vision and determination of a leading company in the insurance industry with the aim of preventing, assisting and protecting people and the community.
In order to face the digital challenge of the Insurance Company of BNP Paribas Group, Open-F@b was born: the international Call4ideas launched for the first time in 2014, supported by the project Insuranceup (the first Italian portal on insurtech) and open to all innovators.
Following this exceptional situation, BNP Paribas Cardif has decided to dedicate the 2021 edition of Open-F@b Call4ideas to More Accessible Insurance, looking for innovative ideas, products and solutions that make insurance close to a wider audience of customers and to their needs, for a new, more inclusive and customizable model.
Collect the entries and applications of startups, scaleups, innovative companies or students with the aim of starting a project of mutual collaboration with the R&D team of BNP Paribas Cardif. We are looking for companies that have identified new business models to respond to emerging needs in different areas, according to three guidelines that can express an important social impact: promoting a strong and lasting recovery, move towards a model of sustainable development, unleash the best energies of the Country.
Open-F@b Call4ideas is an opportunity, for all innovators, to embark on an Open Innovation path, now well-established, at its 8th edition, aimed at integrating insurance skills, services and technology to improve people’s walfare.
The winners will be supported by the R&D team of BNP Paribas Cardif in the development and implementation of their project, taking into account the needs of the market and of the Company. In addition, all finalist projects will be introduced to C. Entrepreneurs Fund, the venture capital fund of BNP Paribas Cardif with Cathay Innovation, which aims to accelerate the Company’s innovation through investments in early stage start-ups, and included in the SCOOP platform used in BNP Paribas’ Open Innovation ecosystem to share, manage and promote cooperation with start-ups. Among the novelties of this year there is also the possibility ,for two members of each winning team, to present the project and share opinions with other start-ups hosted in Bivwak! the internal incubator of the BNP Paribas Group based in Paris.
